Vroon receives the TradeNet Award

Since several years ShipServ has instigated a reward for best performing Owner / Manager and supplier in accordance to the partners being part of ShipServ's TradeNet.

With a growing network of Owners / Managers and suppliers trading on the TradeNet network are the awards getting more and more prestigious.

The TradeNet Supplier of the Year Award was given to the supplier providing the best possible information for sourcing purposes whereas the TradeNet Ship Owner / Manager of the Year Award was given to the owner / manager providing the optimal information and data quality when sending RFQs and POs by using technology in the best way and thereby improving interaction between trading partners.

Nominations were entered by TradeNet Members and a judging panel representing the industry selected the winners from three nominees in each category. The judges were Helge Hermundsgaard, DNV Maritime; Pal Cameron Marthinsen, CapGemini; Rob O'Dwyer, The Digital Ship; Neville Smith, Lloyd's List; and Paul Ostergaard, ShipServ.

The nominees for the TradeNet Ship Owner / Manager of the Year were:

Masterbulk - for very actively using ShipServ TradeNet and always providing full information and good data quality in the RFQs and POs. This increases work efficiency and improves the interaction between the supplier and this customer. Dannebrog - for always supplying the correct information making it easy to service them. Handling great number of orders received via ShipServ TradeNet from this company was easy as all orders went smoothly via the system thus reducing order handling time. Vroon - for their willingness to work together with the suppliers in finding the best data solution together. The high data quality from all Vroon companies makes Vroon a preferred customer to work with.

Nominations have been sent to ShipServ via html form on the ShipServ web site and in our solutions. Final nominees have been selected from these nominations.

Vroon BV, but actually the procurement team of Vroon BV, Vroon Pty Limited and Vroon Offshore Services, received Tuesday 15 May 2007 the TradeNet award 2007 for Owner / Manager of the year 2007 in Copenhagen from the hands of Mr. Paul Ostergaard CEO of ShipServ.
