We would like to inform you that Stuart Thom will be retiring as Managing Director of Vroon Offshore Services Ltd. on 30 September 2025. Stuart has been a driving force in our offshore operations since 2009, assuming the role of Managing Director in May 2021, having previously acted as Director Ship Management. Stuart has guided the Aberdeen office and fleet through significant transitions, overseeing the introduction of more than 16 newbuilding vessels. He has also championed many safety and culture initiatives, such as our successful Leaders in Safety programme. His leadership, technical insight and dedication will leave a lasting mark on our organisation.

We thank Stuart for his many years of service and wish him all the best for a happy, healthy retirement.

At the same time, we are pleased to announce that Matthew Gordon will join Vroon Offshore Services Ltd. as Managing Director on 13 October 2025. Matthew brings with him over 28 years of experience in the maritime world and the global energy sector, specifically in the areas of hydrographic survey, remotely operated vehicle and subsea/SURF (subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines) operations. Most recently, he served as CEO of North Star, leading a successful transformation and expansion into offshore-wind markets.

We are certain that Matthew’s strategic leadership skills, commercial acumen and strong network within the business community will make him an excellent fit for Vroon, as we continue to evolve our offshore business.

Please join us in expressing thanks to Stuart and welcoming Matthew on board.
