Crewing Manager Iver Ships B.V. (1 fte)

Iver Ships B.V., located in Breda, forms part of the Vroon Group and is engaged in the worldwide transportation of oil/chemical products and bitumen, through the operation of a modern tanker fleet. Iver Ships endeavours to provide customers with excellent technical performance of vessels, as well as a close relationship from a commercial and operational perspective. Iver Ships operates a fleet of 19 vessels, including 13 high-heat tankers.

What will you do?
We are looking for a Crewing Manager to join our Ship Management team. You will manage all Crewing activities for the Iver Ships fleet.

The Crewing Manager is responsible for:

  • managing the external crewing agencies and staffing the Iver Ships vessels with qualified personnel;
  • defining the need for officers/crew and taking appropriate initiatives to secure sufficient seafarers, both in the short and long term;
  • ensuring clear recruitment criteria and an optimal recruitment process;
  • ensuring the fleet is staffed as efficiently and effectively as possible;
  • preparing and maintaining Crewing policies and procedures;
  • maintaining an up-to-date and effective training and development plan for seafarers;
  • provision of timely and complete OPEX analyses and reports on crew-related data;
  • staying up-to-date with crewing-related information and developments.


In this function, you will be based in Breda and report to the Manager Ship Management.

Who are we looking for?
Our preferred candidate has:

  • Seagoing experience as a senior officer (deck or engine) and/or a relevant degree or higher;
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in ship management;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English;
  • Strong management and negotiation skills;
  • Good understanding of the tanker industry;
  • Willingness to travel.
