With headquarters located in Breda (the Netherlands), Vroon employs about 3,000 professionals in offices around the world and on board a diverse fleet of around 120 vessels. From our Breda head office, approximately 120 staff support the Company’s activities.

The ICT Department plays an active role as business partner in the Company, striving to provide ICT systems and services that add value to the business, with a mindset of continuous improvement. We are currently looking for a Service Desk Analyst who will gain satisfaction from providing excellent ICT customer-support service in a fast-paced ICT environment, which is based on the Microsoft eco-system, including MS Azure, Microsoft/Office 365 and Dynamics 365.


What will you do?
As one of our Service Desk Analysts, you will be the face of the ICT Department, dealing with colleagues worldwide. You will resolve ICT issues, questions or requests from our offices and vessels in an efficient and effective manner.

As a member of our skilled ICT Service Desk team, you will:
 

  • Be the first point of contact for ICT-related questions, requests or incidents:
    • Registering, updating and keeping track of ICT issues in our ticketing system;
    • Communicating and guiding employees through ICT issues, aiming to resolve these as successfully and quickly as possible, to the full satisfaction of the customer;
    • Aiming for a first-time-fix of 50%+. In the event you are unable to resolve an incident yourself, you can rely on the support of our second-level team;
    • Creating and maintaining FAQs (Frequent Asked Questions), knowledge-base articles, and other support documents.
  • Manage Company laptops, desktops and iPhones via Azure portal;
  • Coordinate ICT installations on board vessels;
  • Take initiatives to improve the ICT environment, processes and services;
  • Occasionally travel to offices and vessels.

Who are we looking for?
Qualifications and experience

  • MBO-4 degree in Information Technology or equivalent;
  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or equivalent certification is a plus;
  • Minimum of one year’s experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in an international environment would be an advantage;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.

Context of the position:
You will be based in Breda, where you will join an ICT team (18.3 FTE) consisting of Service Desk, Business Applications and Infrastructure teams, all supported by a Department Assistant, Project Manager and Group ICT Manager. You will report directly to the Supervisor Service Desk. Our team of enthusiastic colleagues works closely together, adhering to clear communication lines and agreements. To be critical, while maintaining respect for one other and a joint drive to develop ourselves to the fullest, is what we aim for.
