Management Assistant (0.8 FTE)

With headquarters located in Breda (the Netherlands), Vroon employs about 3,000 professionals in offices around the world and on board a diverse fleet of approximately 130 vessels. The Company is active - through various subsidiaries and under different brand names - in the following business segments: livestock carriers; offshore-support vessels; offshore maintenance and engineering services; dry-cargo vessels; container vessels; product tankers; high-heat tankers; car carriers and vessel-management services.

From our Breda head office, approximately 120 staff support the Company’s activities.
Our temporary vacancy is to replace a colleague who is going on maternity leave as of August for a period of six months.

Tasks and responsibilities:
In close cooperation with your fellow Management Assistant, you provide daily secretarial and administrative support to the Vroon Group Managing Board, consisting of a Chief Executive Officer and a Chief Financial Officer.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining calendars and mailboxes;
  • Preparing correspondence in English and Dutch;
  • Organising (international) telephone conferences and meetings and preparing presentations;
  • Pro-actively arranging business trips;
  • Coordinating the flow of information internally and externally;
  • Undertaking special projects and assignments as may be required.

What are we looking for?
Our preferred candidate:

  • Is a well-organised, motivated, flexible, service-minded and responsible team player, who will thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment;
  • Is able to set priorities, work independently and adhere to deadlines;
  • Works to a Bachelor’s (HBO) level (relevant diploma(s) and/or experience);
  • Has a minimum of four years’ experience in a similar job, preferably in an international business environment;
  • Possesses excellent MS Office and Outlook skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English are essential.
