Vroon Offshore Services B.V. is based in Den Helder (NL) and operates platform-supply, subsea-support and walk-to-work vessels. VOS B.V. is part of Vroon’s Offshore Division, with companies located in Aberdeen, Den Helder, Genoa and Singapore. Most of VOS B.V.’s vessels operate in the North Sea area, expanding to the Mediterranean area and West Africa. Our most important objective is making our customers successful by providing safe and highly efficient shipping services and offshore-support solutions. Vroon Offshore Services B.V. operates a fleet of 16 DP2 vessels.

What will you do?

We are looking for a Superintendent, preferably with experience in the offshore industry. In this function:

  • You monitor and report on technical matters, as well as operational
    expenses, for our fleet;
  • You are responsible for all technical-related issues, port-state-control and vetting inspections, in close cooperation with the QHSE Department;
  • You communicate with the Operations Department on day-to-day matters related to voyage operations;
  • You coordinate and supervise planned and unplanned repairs, inspections and drydockings in an international setting;
  • You are responsible for the Class status of the vessel and for arranging surveys and audits, including reporting.

As a Superintendent, you form an important part of a team that consists of Superintendents, Crewing Officers, QHSE Officers and Purchasers. In this position, you report to the Manager Ship Management.

Who are we looking for?

Our preferred candidate has:

  • A Higher Technical Education degree and relevant experience as an Engineer on (offshore) vessels and/or in ship repair/ship management;
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a structured  manner;
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills;
  • A minimum of one to two years’ experience in a similar position;
  • Good commercial awareness;
  • Willingness to travel and ability to work well under pressure;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English are essential.
