ICT Infrastructure Analyst (1 fte)

With headquarters located in Breda (the Netherlands), Vroon employs about 3,000 professionals in offices around the world and on board a diverse fleet of approximately 150 vessels. The Company is active - through various subsidiaries and under different brand names - in the following business segments: livestock carriers; offshore-support vessels; offshore maintenance and engineering services; dry-cargo vessels; container vessels; product tankers; high-heat tankers; car carriers and vessel-management services.

From our Breda head office, approximately 120 staff support the Company’s activities. The ICT Department provides support to our Management Companies, vessels and employees worldwide.

What will you do?

As ICT Infrastructure Analyst, you are responsible for installing, testing and maintaining our servers and systems. You analyse and solve complex incidents. In addition, you continuously update your knowledge of ICT infrastructure-related market trends and new technologies that could benefit Vroon.

As part of a team of ICT specialists, you maintain our infrastructure landscape using the following key components:

  • VMWare cluster with Site Recovery Manager;

  • NetApp storage;

  • HP Aruba networking;

  • Citrix Xenapp farm;

  • Microsoft Windows servers;

  • Microsoft Exchange.
     

You work in close cooperation with our ICT Service Desk and ICT Business Application teams, with the aim of identifying improvements in systems and processes that will deliver even better ICT services. During implementation of new technologies or systems, you are responsible for coordinating training of colleagues Company wide.

You will play an active role in your team’s important new project to develop and implement a cloud strategy for Vroon, likely to be based on Microsoft products, such as Office365 and Azure.

Who are we looking for?

Our preferred candidate possesses:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent;

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position;

  • Key competencies: creative, stress resistant, hands-on, problem solving, team player, planning and organisation;

  • Experience in an international environment;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English.
