Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) B.V. is based in Den Helder (NL) and operates platform-supply, subsea-support and walk-to-work vessels. VOS B.V. forms part of the Vroon Offshore Services Division of Vroon Group, with further offices in Aberdeen (UK), Genoa (IT) and Singapore. The Den-Helder-managed vessels operate mainly in the North Sea area, with the area of operation occasionally extending to include the Mediterranean or West Africa. Our most important objective is making our customers successful by providing safe and highly efficient shipping services and offshore-support solutions.
Vroon Offshore Services B.V. operates a fleet of 17 modern vessels.


What will you do
In this function, the Superintendent is responsible for:

  • Monitoring and reporting on technical matters and operational expenses for the VOS Den Helder fleet;
  • Handling all technical-related issues, port-state-control and vetting inspections in close cooperation with our QHSE Department;
  • Communicating with the Operations Department on day-to-day matters related to voyage operations;
  • Coordinating and supervising planned and unplanned repairs, inspections and dry dockings in an international setting;
  • Maintaining and ensuring compliance with respect to the class status of the vessels, including arranging all required surveys and audits, and taking care of subsequent reporting.
     

You work in a team consisting of Superintendents, Crewing Officers, QHSE Officers and Purchasers.
In this position, you report to the Manager Ship Management.

Who are we looking for?

Our preferred candidate has:

  • A Higher Technical Education degree;
  • A minimum of one to two years’ experience in a similar position or experience as First or Second Engineer on (offshore) vessels and/or in ship repair/ship management;
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills;
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding;
  • The ability to manage and co-ordinate multiple projects;
  • Willing to travel and works well under pressure;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English.
